Weekending December 13/13

This week 3B learned quite a bit about structures.  They learned that a structure has purpose, size, shape and can carry a load.  We also discovered that the strongest shape is the triangle!  When looking at forces on a structure, we encountered that when we push or pull, we can actually change the features of a
structure.  On Tuesday there will be a science assessment!

In geometry, the term attributes has taken over!  Attributes are used to describe 2D figures, and 3D figures as well!  We will be finishing off geometry this week.  An assessment will be done on Wednesday!

On Friday, I sent home a letter to parents.   I won't post it on the blog yet as we had some missing students on Friday, and I would like to speak to them before anything is posted.  Thank you for your understanding!

As I type this morning, I'm looking out my window loving every minute of the snow travelling to the ground!  Enjoy the outdoors 3B, it's looking like a winter wonderland out there!  Here's a picture of my backyard already covered in snow!

Have a great weekend, and I'll see you all on Monday!

Cans for a Cause Pictures

On Friday, the grade 3's and 2/3 class walked to Devonshire Mall to deliver our collected cans for the St. Vincent de Paul Society.  We carried and delivered almost 200 cans!

The boys and girls were amazing ambassadors for St. Christopher School!

Here are some pics from our afternoon:

We had a great time!  Way to go 3B!
